Living near a royal residence could add 63pc to your house price

Becky Fatemi, of estate agency Rokstone, said royal neighbourhoods were not only steeped in history, but were also aesthetically pleasing, which usually pushed up price tags.

“The likes of Bridgerton and The Crown have reignited a sense of British patronage and if a property was once home to a Lord or Lady then that certainly appeals to buyers.

“Our Asian clients get especially excited by that and proximity to a royal residence certainly makes a property more saleable.”

It is not just London where prices benefit from a Royal presence. The Welsh residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Llwynywermod estate, close to the Brecon Beacons, also adds a significant premium to its neighbours.
