In theory, Liverpool should be helped by the number of players hoping to leave isolation over the next 24 hours.

Alisson Becker, Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino received their positive test results last week, so – pending negative tests – should be able to rejoin the squad this weekend.

Klopp tested positive last Saturday, which might mean he too can take charge on Saturday, again pending a negative test.

Liverpool were forced to ask the EFL to postpone their midweek Carabao Cup semi-final first leg with Arsenal due to the growing severity of the outbreak at the AXA training centre.
