Six activewear pieces you can wear all day – every day

Smart moves: from left to right, Emma Raducanu on the court; tie-dye leggings, £88, and wrap bra, £48, both Lululemon; fleece hoodie, £59, and performance leggings, £21, both Arket; sports bra, £39, and leggings, £59, both Hush; Influencer Mandy Bork

Lots of brands are now catering very specifically to this non-workout activewear category. Marks & Spencer’s Goodmove range gets better every year, and while its pieces will stand up to a Peloton session, they’re nice enough to keep on all day.

Meanwhile Veja’s new Dekkan trainers, which I’m wearing here, are made for hiking rather than running, with soles by Vibram – though you could, of course, just wear with a dress and not do any kind of exercise at all in them.

There’s no better muse for this approach than Emma Raducanu. She may be at the top of her game and pushing herself to levels that few of us can imagine, but her effortless and relaxed sporting style enamoured us all last year. Most of all, she’s always enjoying herself on court and, ultimately, that’s what exercise – and dressing for it – should be all about.

Six of the best
