A woman in China was trapped in a never-ending blind date in awkward silence after a city was abruptly sent into a strict lockdown while she was having dinner at suitor’s house.
Despite being stuck together in a small flat for a week, romance has yet to blossom between the woman, named only as Wang, and her prospective boyfriend in Zhengzhou.
“Besides the fact that he’s as mute as a wooden mannequin, everything else (about him) is pretty good,” Wang told The Paper. “Despite his food being mediocre, he’s still willing to cook, which I think is great.”
Wang has been chronicling the nightmare date in video blogs that have gone viral on Chinese social media. She did not disclose her age or the identity of the man in the videos.
Over 100 virus cases have been reported in the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou since last week, as China battles to contain multiple local outbreaks of the delta and omicron variants.
