Kate’s cockapoo-hued look on Thursday consisted of a Massimo Dutti coat which she has been seen wearing four times since she debuted it in 2020 and a matching £145 polo neck and £165 skirt set from Iris and Ink, The Outnet’s in-house collection which recently relaunched with a sustainable ethos. The Duchess completed the look with suede boots, thought to be from Saint Laurent.
Previously, we might have described these shades as camel or pale brown, but now ‘cockapoo’ is the only word that will do, and if you’re going to invest in any colour this winter, make it this.
Cockapoo makes an uplifting change from the more traditional winter shades of black, navy and grey but isn’t as high-maintenance as wearing cream. It looks wonderful with other colours, too – especially red (as the Duchess has shown in the past) or bottle green.
While the best cockapoo pieces might one have been created by designer labels, there are plenty of options in this beautifully appealing shade on the high street this season too.
These are the best cockapoo buys to try now – and how to wear them…
The cockapoo coat
Like the Duchess of Cambridge, your cockapoo dressing journey should begin with a fabulous coat. No matter what you’re wearing underneath, with this over the top, you’ll have the sophisticated but effortless look that the colour conveys down pat in one item. And you could even wear it for a dog walk.
