On Wednesday, May 4, 344 people were evacuated within the framework of the Mariupol humanitarian corridor.
All evacuees have already arrived in Zaporozhye.
Irina Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, spoke about this.
According to her, women, children and elderly people were taken out of Mariupol, Mangush, Berdyansk, Tokmak and Vasilyevka.
“They all just arrived in Zaporozhye. Another small victory for us,” Vereshchuk said, adding that the Mariupol humanitarian operation continues.
The head of the Ministry of Reintegration thanked the UN workers and the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the workers of the humanitarian convoy: drivers and employees of the State Emergency Service, thanks to whom the evacuation was possible.
Yesterday, May 3, a convoy of evacuated residents of Mariupol also arrived in Zaporozhye.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the evacuation from Mariupol and plans to continue it .
