The invaders plan to go beyond the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region.
Even though Russia is trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses and build momentum, it is most likely that it intends to move beyond Izyum to capture Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk.
This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
The Russian army deployed 22 battalion tactical groups near Izyum, trying to advance along the northern border of Donbass.
“The capture of these places will consolidate Russian military control over the northeastern Donbass and will become a springboard for their efforts to push back Ukrainian forces in the region,” the report says.
Recall that the invaders are storming the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in several directions.
