Review of the children's tablet Digma Citi Kids

The Digma CITI Kids tablet is positioned as a children’s tablet, and this is noticeable both in appearance and in the software installed in it. The device is made in bright colors, with rubber pads on the corners, and the software is aimed at entertaining the little user, as well as at his development, thanks to the installed games.

Packaging and equipment

The tablet comes in a cardboard box with a picture of the device and its specifications.

Under the cover is a tablet, additionally packed in a bag, there is also an instruction manual and a power supply for charging the device.

The power supply is standard 5V2A, painted orange. The cable in this case is Micro USB. The tablet is equipped with a battery of only 2800 mAh, so this unit copes with its charging quite quickly.

Appearance

Digma CITI Kids has external dimensions of 220*150*14mm and is equipped with a 7 inch screen. The case is made of blue plastic, and rubber pads are installed at the corners.

The control is carried out using the touch screen, but there are also physical buttons. On the right and left are the volume control buttons, and in the center is the on / off button for the screen and the tablet itself as a whole. The buttons are made of plastic.

On the top of the tablet are speakers and a 0.3MP camera for making calls.

To transmit voice in the case, a built-in microphone is used, which is located to the left of the screen.

On the back of the tablet, you will find brief specifications of the device, a 3MP camera, and a cover that covers various ports. Of the interfaces, there is a Micro USB for charging the battery and transferring data, a memory card slot with a maximum capacity of 64GB, a SIM card slot and a 3.5mm headphone port.

Software

Switching on is carried out by long pressing the corresponding button. The Android OS is installed on the tablet.

I don’t see the point in dwelling on the analysis of the OS, everyone is so familiar with it, I will only note that this tablet has an interesting MiraVision add-on, which has not been seen in budget versions before. This add-on is designed to fine-tune the display of colors on your device.

Since the tablet is equipped with a SIM card slot, it can be used for voice calls, sending SMS messages and for Internet connections, but, unfortunately, it supports a maximum of 3G, so it’s better to use WIFI to access the Internet, since it works pretty well.

The tablet is capable of pulling out videos with a maximum quality of 720p.

As in any budget tablet, the cameras here are definitely not for high-quality pictures, but rather for video communication, for this they are more than enough. Although the settings are minimal, they are there.

Perhaps the main advantage of this model can be considered the iWAWA application, which opens up a whole world for entertainment for a child. The application looks like a standalone shell for Android, which includes entertaining content in the form of cartoons and games, as well as educational games with tasks for children.

For lovers of iron tests, I present the results.

Outcome

The Digma CITI Kids tablet is capable of fulfilling the requirements of a child, it’s not worth talking about serious games here, of course, it won’t pull them, but there is plenty of built-in software to entertain a small user. Quite a cheerful appearance, chic filling with games and tutorials, a good screen and a minimal cost, you should not demand more from it.
