6″ canvas, commutator motor, 1200mAh battery, nothing outstanding, except for the price of $21
I took a kit with two batteries, it costs $ 3 more
The controls are like a screwdriver, only the “reverse” button is responsible for blocking. Tire with an asterisk on the end
Assembly is not difficult. We install the guide, take the chain out of the bag and put it in its place, after which we adjust its tension with a screwdriver so that it does not tend to fly off when the case is tilted. We close the side cover, slightly tighten the nut, finally adjust the chain tension (without fanaticism) and finally tighten the nut using the supplied wrench
It will also not be superfluous to install a protective cover, insert the spring into the groove, pull it with a finger and insert it into the hole, fix it with a screw so that the structure moves freely. The walls in my case “led” during delivery, but the chain does not catch them, so it’s not critical
The battery here is single-row 21V 1.2Ah, the same ones are used in many no-name screwdrivers
Recently I sawed off a dry apple tree, so there are a lot of samples. I started with small branches, no problems at all, even the speed practically did not sink, the video sequence is not accelerated
52mm in the narrow part, to be honest, I thought it wouldn’t pull
I dragged larger branches, here the load is already felt, but under its own weight it cuts confidently, does not wedge
77mm at the narrow end
But if you make an effort, the battery starts to go into protection and performance drops.
The results are not bad, but you need to understand that this is as long as the chain is sharp and if you do not keep it in this state, it will not be so comfortable to use, you will have to make more efforts, in response to which the battery will go into protection. This applies to all small files with a commutator motor without a controller, because it does not have its own protection and it will spin until it burns out. Here is an example of working from a power supply, sawing the same 75mm branch, the current reached 15A, and the power was up to 320W, it felt like the process went much faster
Let’s take a look inside the battery. The board is unpretentious, noname elements assembly 5S
Connected to the electronic load, the controller went into protection after 10A
When testing individual elements, the maximum current was kept at 15A, the margin is very small
Charged with a current of 2A, the battery “absorbed” 1214mAh, the return will be 10-20 percent less, so it corresponds to the declared one with a stretch
I also disassembled the saw, dismantled it, a gearbox with a spur gear, on bearings. 550 engine, not very powerful, but tenacious and common, so in which case it will not be very difficult to replace

So is the set worth the money? It seems to me yes, for $ 20 now you can’t even buy a normal battery. But you need to understand that this is a compact and lightweight tool for the leisurely improvement of suburban land, it will help get rid of branches that the pruner cannot handle, but for trunks thicker than 70-80mm it is better to use more powerful models.
You can improve performance by selecting a battery with a higher current output, but over time, wear and tear may not please the engine. But it is possible and necessary to replace the batteries with more capacious ones, the complete 1.2Ah is enough for a short time, so if you wish, you can triple the autonomy. Moreover, if you do not change the board, it will also go into protection after 10A and nothing will threaten the engine. Judging by the reviews, sometimes there are samples with a capacity lower than the declared one.
There are also complaints about turning the gear on the shaft. Perhaps someone else in the first photos noticed that it has a round mounting hole, and the shaft has two flats, due to which the contact area becomes smaller, and there are no locking elements. This problem has bypassed me so far, or maybe I’m just loading in moderation, but as a solution, you can immediately drill out the seats that are not adjacent to the shaft and press in something suitable in diameter. Cheap and cheerful)
Now these models are not in the RU warehouse, so the cost has been raised a little, there you can also buy a variant with two more common Makita batteries for $30 , but check the price with a 4″ canvas
In a nearby store I found an analogue with a battery for $ 21, how to check the price in the review
Well, for those to whom this saw seemed “toy”, I can recommend reading my last review of a more powerful and thoughtful model, although it costs almost three times as much
