Yesterday, Siemens announced its withdrawal from Russia , and today the Ministry of Industry and Trade commented on the situation. The decision of the German company surprised the head of department Denis Manturov, but he does not see any difficulties in localizing large and powerful turbines in Russia.
“We do not see any difficulties in implementing the plans. Localization and creation of our own high-capacity turbines – this is for 65 megawatts and 170 – all work is on schedule. Power Machines will start supplying these products starting next year,” said Denis Manturov.
“In terms of interaction with Siemens. This is a great surprise for us, because the company has been present on the Russian market for more than 150 years, since Tsarist Russia. This was always declared at all meetings, but their unexpected decision seems rather strange to us , ”added the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
