Zelensky spoke about "very difficult negotiations" regarding the evacuation from Mariupol and Azovstal

Ukraine continues negotiations with Russia to achieve the evacuation of people from Mariupol and the Azovstal plant. Influential mediators are involved in the negotiation process.

The coups are “very difficult,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on the evening of May 13.

“We do not stop trying to save all our people from Mariupol and Azovstal. Now very difficult negotiations are underway on the next stage of the evacuation mission – the removal of the seriously wounded, doctors, we are talking about a large number of people. Of course, we are doing everything to evacuate everyone else, each of our protector and defender,” Zelensky said.

He added that “everyone in the world, who can be the most influential mediator, has already been involved in the relevant negotiations.”

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk said that the influence of world leaders should not be exaggerated, because “if this influence were due, there would be no war.” She also added that ” negotiations with the enemy are very difficult. The result may not satisfy everyone . But our task is to get our guys out. Everyone. Alive.”
