Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that the command had set the task for the Russian troops to invest everything in reaching the border of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. It is very difficult for Ukrainian troops there, and it will be even more difficult.
Arestovich called the situation in the war in Donbas “rather problematic.”
The adviser to the head of the OP spoke about this in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin on May 24.
“The Russian command – according to what I see from open sources, there is no secret here, it’s just an analysis of what is happening – set the task of investing everything they have and what they don’t have in reaching the border of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions ,” Arestovich said. .
“They pulled everything they could to the border of the Luhansk region. Freshly formed Russian BTGs from reservists and so on, PMCs deployed from the very Far East, parts of Sakhalin, part of the BTG from the Belgorod region , the National Guard. Everything that rides and crawls, rushes there and will intensify,” said the adviser to the head of the OP.
He also expressed the opinion that 10-12 Russian battalion tactical groups “are still quite capable of fighting in these areas, where a blow has been outlined.”
“And this is a very serious argument in modern times. That is, it’s already difficult for us there, but it will be even more difficult. That is, the situation is quite problematic,” Arestovich summed up.
Recall that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine warned about a very difficult month of the war for Donbass , as well as that the war is moving into a protracted phase.
