Ukraine plans to soon join the EU roaming space and the single payment area in the European currency SEPA.
The first will allow making calls between the EU and Ukraine at no additional cost, and will also allow Ukrainians to use mobile Internet at home rates. The second one can take place already in the summer and will allow you to make transfers in euros without commissions.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal spoke about this on May 24.
On April 24, 2007, the European Parliament by a majority vote decided to create a single payment system of the European Union (SEPA), within which it will be possible to make payments in all 27 EU countries using one bank account.
As previously reported, the European Union has extended sanctions against stripped of the title of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his henchmen for another year. According to Rikard Jozwiak, the EU member states’ ambassadors will decide to continue freezing the assets of Yanukovych and 14 other former Ukrainian officials. At the same time, the EU decided to lift sanctions from the ex-regional Yuri Ivanyushchenko, who was also part of Yanukovych’s entourage.
Thus, in addition to Viktor Yanukovych, the following remain on the EU sanctions list: Vitaly Zakharchenko, Viktor Pshonka, Elena Lukash, Andriy Klyuev, Viktor Ratushnyak, Alexander Yanukovych, Artem Pshonka, Serhiy Klyuyev, Mykola Azarov, Serhiy Kurchenko, Dmitry Tabachnik, Serhiy Arbuzov, Alexander Klimenko and Eduard Stavitsky.
Recall that the European Parliament abolished EU import duties for Ukraine for a year.
