President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke on May 24 with European Council President Charles Michel and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The main topic of conversation is war.
The head of state announced an important meeting of the European Council at the end of the week.
Zelensky said this in a video message.
“Today I spoke with President of the European Council Charles Michel. At the end of May, an important meeting of the European Council will be held on assistance to Ukraine . Therefore, we coordinated positions, including on strengthening sanctions against Russia ,” the president said.
As for the conversation with Trudeau, according to Zelensky, they talked primarily about defense support for Ukraine.
“On further political cooperation and providing our state with the entire amount of assistance, including financial assistance, which is so necessary to overcome the occupiers,” the head of state added.
Recall that Zelensky thanked all the partners who send weapons to Ukraine. However, the country still needs heavy weapons.
