HP has expanded its Pavilion series of notebooks with two new 14-inch HP Pavilion x360 14 and HP Pavilion Plus 14 models, both equipped with the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors.
For the HP Pavilion x360 14 model, which starts at $599, the manufacturer offers Alder Lake-U processors. There are three models to choose from: the 10-core and 12-thread Core i7-1255U and Core i5-1235U, as well as the six-core and eight-thread Core i3-1215U.
The laptop is equipped with a 14-inch, 360-degree IPS-display with support for a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a brightness of 250 cd/m 2 and 45 percent coverage of the NTSC color space. The laptop offers 8 or 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM built into the motherboard, a 512 GB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD or 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD.
HP Pavilion x360 14 received one HDMI 2.1 connector, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gb / s), two USB Type-A (5 Gb / s) ports, as well as a combined 3.5 mm audio jack, card reader Micro SD memory and nano-SIM slot (optional). Also for the novelty, support for Wi-Fi 6 / 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 standards is announced. Additionally, 5G support is offered.
The laptop is equipped with Bang & Olufsen speakers, can be equipped with a 5 megapixel webcam and a fingerprint scanner. In standalone mode, the HP Pavilion x360 14 is powered by a 43 Wh battery. The device comes with a 45W or 65W power supply and an HP MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen. The weight of the laptop is 1.35 kg. The dimensions are 322 × 210 × 18.8 mm.
The HP Pavilion Plus 14 model has a wider choice of processors. The following chip models are offered here:
- Core i7-12700H (45W, 14 cores, 20 threads);
- Core i5-12500H (45W, 12 cores, 16 threads);
- Core i5-1240P (28W, 12 cores, 16 threads);
- Core i7-1255U (15W, 10 cores, 12 threads);
- Core i5-1235U (15W, 10 cores, 12 threads).
You can also choose to equip discrete GeForce MX550 or GeForce RTX 2050 graphics cards. The laptop’s RAM is soldered on a board with a capacity of 8 or 16 GB and the DDR4-3200 standard. PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSDs up to 1TB or PCIe 4.0 up to 512GB are also announced.
The novelty received a 14-inch display, available in two configurations: an OLED panel with a resolution of 2280 × 1800 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a brightness of 500 cd / m 2 , or an IPS panel with a resolution of 2240 × 1400 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and brightness 300 cd/m 2 .
The set of external ports of the device consists of two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gb / s), two USB Type-A (5 Gb / s), one HDMI 2.1, a combined 3.5 mm audio jack, and a memory card reader MicroSD. Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers and a 5MP webcam are also announced. There is support for wireless standards Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth. Optionally offer a fingerprint scanner and a backlit keyboard.
The weight of the novelty is 1.41 kg. The dimensions are 313.44 × 224.28 × 18.29 mm. At its thinnest point, the laptop measures 16.51mm, making it the thinnest in the Pavilion series. In standalone mode, it is powered by a 51 Wh battery. Depending on the configuration, the laptop comes with a USB Type-C charger with a power of 65 or 90 W.
