Starlink already works in 32 countries of the world (and in Ukraine) - accessibility map

Starlink satellite Internet, which provides high speed and low latency even under adverse weather conditions, has been available in 32 countries for several months. Partially, the service is also provided in Ukraine, where there are 150,000 active daily users .

Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter has overshadowed the news about all the other companies of the billionaire, but this does not mean that they stand still. So, Starlink updated the satellite Internet accessibility map.

According to the map posted on Twitter, the service is available in 32 countries. Ukraine is on the waiting list. This is due to the fact that Elon Musk’s SpaceX has just started opening an official representative office in Ukraine .

  • Starlink global satellite internet exited its open beta phase in October 2021 . The hardware kit costs $499 and the subscription fee for the service is $99 per month.
  • In Ukraine, Starlink officially launched on February 26 after an appeal by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov to Elon Musk. SpaceX President Gwyn Shotwell explained that the team was already working with the government and was close to being licensed to provide services in Ukraine.
  • The connection kit includes a Starlink antenna, WiFi router, power supply and necessary cables. The company warns that a good view of the sky is required to use the antenna.
  • The high-speed connection reaches from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps, and the latency is as low as 20 ms.
