Fountains will not be turned on in the center of Kyiv: Klitschko named the reason and showed a thematic video

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced the decision not to turn on large fountains in the center of the capital and on the Rusanovsky Canal until the end of May.

Klitschko explained this decision by saying that thanks to this, it will be possible to save money, because ensuring the operation of fountains is energy-intensive and expensive.

The mayor of Kyiv wrote about this on the Web, adding a video.

“Friends! The city authorities decided not to turn on large fountains in the center of Kyiv and on the Rusanovsky Canal until the end of May. To save money, because ensuring their work is energy-intensive and expensive,” the message says.

At the same time, Klitschko said, at the request of the people of Kiev, local fountains have already been turned on in the Vladimirskaya Gorka, Taras Shevchenko and Pobeda parks, as well as on Trostyanetskaya and Revutsky streets.

“These are small fountains, their maintenance is not so expensive. And they are already delighting the people of Kiev and guests of the capital,” the mayor of Kyiv explained.

Recall, on May 13, the Kyiv City State Administration noted that because of the threat of missile attacks, children are not recommended to return to Kiev. At the same time, those who decide to return should take into account that the capital lives with restrictions.
