Scythe has announced the Mugen 5 Black Edition processor cooler: a tower-type solution suitable for use with modern AMD and Intel processors.
The novelty is completely made in black. This includes the heatsink, heat pipes, fan, and mounting hardware. Overall dimensions are 136,0 × 110,5 × 154,5 mm, weight – 890 g.
A Kaze Flex 120 fan with a diameter of 120 mm is used. It has a black frame and an impeller with 11 blades. The rotation speed is adjustable from 300 to 1500 rpm. An air flow with a volume of up to 113 cubic meters per hour is formed at a noise level of no more than 29,75 dBA. The static pressure reaches 1,67 mm water column.
The design includes six 6mm diameter U-shaped heat pipes. In the base area, there is a pressure plate that acts as a small auxiliary heatsink.
The cooler is compatible with AMD processors AM4 / AM3 (+) / AM2 (+) / FM2 (+) / FM1 and Intel chips LGA 2066/2011 (V3) / 1200 / 115X. Estimated price – $ 60.
