It is noted that the Huawei Mate 40 series smartphone camera system was developed in cooperation with Leica and received a number of significant improvements, including an ultra wide-angle lens, a high-resolution main camera, an improved telephoto lens and much more. Of the interesting features, it is worth noting the wide-angle camera, which, according to the company, takes pictures without distorting the image, and this option works for the main and front camera modules.

The screens of Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Huawei Mate 40 Pro + with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch panel with a sampling rate of 240 Hz have a reduced notch, which, in addition to a wide-angle front camera, houses a gesture sensor and a sensor for unlocking a smartphone with 3D Face Unlock. The only thing that looks strange is that the company did not make the image refresh rate of 120 Hz, like the competitors, but left it at 90 Hz, and, of course, the “waterfall” display is already unfashionable, other brands are again switching to flat screens.

The manufacturer of these new products focuses on the new Kirin 9000 processor, made using a 5-nanometer process technology and having more than 15.3 billion transistors and support for 5G communication. It is built on a heterogeneous three-tier architecture with cores clocked at up to 3.13 GHz. It integrates a 24-core Mali-G78 GPU as well as an NPU with two large cores and one small core. Today this is the last Kirin processor, in the future, due to sanctions from the United States, the Chinese manufacturer will have to look for workarounds, and if it works out, then install other people’s processors in their devices.

Smartphones have installed two speakers, so now they can provide stereo sound. And also the Huawei Mate 40 series supports the fastest version of Huawei SuperCharge with 66W. Interestingly, while Xiaomi introduced 65W fast charging, Huawei decided to beat the competition a little and showed 66W charging.

The presented smartphones work under the proprietary operating system EMUI 11, built on the basis of the Android OS with its own services Huawei Mobile Services. Of course, it is sad that Google does not defend the rights of its longtime partner with the US government. Huawei FreeBuds Studio

The headphones are, of course, interesting, and here no sanctions and restrictions can affect demand. While Apple’s full-size headphones exist only as rumors, Huawei has quickly decided to take this niche with its product. And, again, if you believe the information on the network, the product of the “apple” company should be called AirPods Studio, and then the Chinese rolled out FreeBuds Studio, which, of course, is no coincidence.

Huawei Eyewear II

In addition, during the presentation, the new generation Huawei × GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II smart glasses were announced, combining, according to the manufacturer, advanced technologies with the design of the premium brand of sunglasses GENTLE MONSTER, offering users the latest innovations in the field of audio, ergonomics and artificial intelligence.

The Eyewear II collection, in addition to the signature GENTLE MONSTER design, offers a wide selection of both vision correction glasses and sunglasses developed using Huawei technologies, including privacy features. The ultra-thin semi-open wide-range speaker provides stereo sound in any environment, and the Smart Interaction function turns the glasses into a personal assistant that offers quick access to various information and intuitive interaction.

Huawei Eyewear II supports a new intuitive gesture control system. To pair with a mobile device, lightly touch the left hook. The voice assistant is activated by double tap on the left arm. In addition, the glasses support swipes – to switch to the next or previous song or adjust the volume, the user just needs to slide his finger along the arms without having to take out the smartphone.

Eyewear II glasses rechargeable batteries allow them to work without recharging in music playback mode for up to 5 hours. At the same time, the new wireless and contactless fast charging technology allows you to quickly recharge your glasses at any time. The Huawei × GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II will officially go on sale this month starting at € 299.

Glasses are a slightly specific product and will not be particularly in demand on the market, you can look at a similar gadget from Bose, which is already on sale, including in Russia. Probably the biggest drawback of this kind of device is the small choice of frame design, which may not be suitable for many.

Huawei sound

Another new device is the Huawei Sound wireless speaker, which Huawei has developed in cooperation with the largest speaker manufacturer Devialet.

The latest generation devices feature a four-speaker acoustic design: a 4-inch 40W woofer and three 5W full-range speakers. Despite its small size, Huawei Sound is powerful thanks to Devialet’s Push-Push configuration, in which two passive radiators amplify each other, preventing reverse vibrations. This reduces distortion caused by membrane reverberation and ensures stability even at high volume levels (up to 90 dB).

Thanks to SPACE technology, three multi-directional speakers receive the signal depending on the listening position. In addition, Huawei Sound has four sound effect modes: Devialet SPACETM “Scene” (Soundstage), “Vocals” (Vocals), Hi-Fi and “Bass” (Bass). These modes are customizable through the Huawei AI Life app.

Huawei Sound has a built-in function for transferring audio files by touching the smartphone screen, thanks to which the user can transfer music from the smartphone to the speaker by touching a button on the smartphone screen. The column also supports LDAC technology. Huawei Sound will be officially available in select regions for € 199.

The product is interesting, although there is a lot of competition in this sector, but the question is whether the device will be released on our market, since the company’s previous column never officially arrived in Russia.

Among other things, Huawei showed a scattering of various accessories, here and cases for the Mate 40 with ring light, and 66W car charger, and an external battery, and a docking station with fast wireless charging. The company also announced its continued cooperation with Porsche Design and showed the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 40 RS smartphone and the Huawei Watch GT2 Porsche Design smartwatch, but the devices are very expensive and very niche, I do not think that in this situation they will be in demand outside China.

The new Hummer will use Epic Games’ Unreal Engine for the first time in the industry to create a multimedia platform. The new Hummer will compete for buyers with Tesla’s Cybertruck.

Of course, the car is interesting, and, according to GM, they sold out the first version of Edition One by pre-order in just a few hours, however, how many cars were available are not reported. The price of $ 112 is rather big, but here it is worth considering that the top version of the SUV will receive three electric motors with a total capacity of 000 hp, adaptive air suspension, CrabWalk mode, in which the car can go diagonally, 1014 cameras for all-round view and an advanced media system with an interface on the Unreal Engine with a main 18-inch screen.
