Reason # 1. Flagship with Ultra, maximum technology and high cost
The world is divided into those who can pick up on a device meticulously, reasonably assess the need for certain of its capabilities in real life, compare the price / quality ratio, and those who simply choose the most expensive solution and consider it the best. In this paradigm, many people choose the Apple iPhone, since there are no more expensive smartphones, this is a final and unconditional fact. But at the same time, Apple or any other manufacturer on the planet has nothing similar to Samsung’s Ultra models, since the technology leader decided to include everything that he can and can in such devices. And at the same time, the price turned out to be slightly lower than that of the most expensive iPhone 12 Pro Max, which, according to its capabilities, quietly rests on the sidelines.
Gradually, the word Ultra is synonymous with everything you can think of in terms of technology: a better screen, cameras, S Pen support for the first time outside the Note line, a large battery, and much more. A kind of harvester for the most discerning buyer, which has an image component of a top-end solution, as well as saturation with the latest technologies from the company that creates and sells these technologies to everyone, including the same Apple.
Fun fact, among all flagships on Android, sales of Galaxy smartphones worth more than 60 thousand rubles account for 97%. That is, in fact, apart from Galaxy, there are no high-price flagships on the market, buyers do not perceive them. And Ultra is the flagship of the flagships in such a classification system, a device in which there are no restrictions (well, or almost none, you see). For many buyers, oddly enough, it is important that they have the very best smartphone and that nothing else simply exists.
Reason # 2. Huge screen with better color reproduction, brightness
Perhaps, in any smartphone there are several components that determine its cost. In addition to the processor, memory size, this is, of course, the display. Samsung has been creating screen technologies on its own for many years, reaching such heights in this that they have no direct competitors (Apple is forced to buy Samsung screens for their smartphones, cannot refuse them and pay exorbitant prices, however, like iPhone buyers).
Personally, I am spoiled by flagships and am used to very high-quality screens, it is impossible to complain about the Note20 Ultra or S20 Ultra, the screens in these devices are excellent. But to my surprise, the screen in the S21 Ultra was taken to a new level. Accurate color rendition, but the main thing is that the picture seems unrealistically clear, the colors are very vivid, but not hitting the eyes. As usual, you have the opportunity to customize the display of the picture to suit your ideas about beauty. The maximum brightness has risen to 1500 nits, a record for a smartphone.
If you do not compare the screen of the S21 Ultra with other devices, then it is difficult to feel the difference, but when you compare or use it every day, you start to feel this difference. The display here captivates with its capabilities, and it is worth paying attention to it, only for this the device can be distinguished among many devices on the market.
Reason number 3. Durable glass without fingerprints
Design is a subjective thing, someone likes one thing, someone else. In life, the S21 Ultra is big, it is a male device with its own aesthetics. But I like the fact that it is very durable due to Corning Gorilla Glass 7 (just like the Note20 Ultra), but the main thing is that the glass on the back is matte and does not collect fingerprints.
If you are not embarrassed by the protruding camera block, which is made by an influx from the side edge of the case, then you can carry the device without a cover at all. As for me, this is a big and fat plus for this device.

We are used to the fact that the fingerprint sensor is convenient, especially when it is built into the screen. In this price segment, there is only an iPhone, but it was deprived of such a small amount, since the technology is too expensive and complicated for Apple. In the S21 Ultra, the sensor area was increased 1.7 times compared to the previous models, and the sensor was made faster. I can’t say that I was very upset with the speed of the sensor on the previous devices, but the fact that it is much more comfortable in the S21 Ultra is a fact. Therefore, for those looking for a device with a fingerprint sensor, this is good news.
Reason number 5. Battery life on a single charge – 5000 mAh battery
Models with the Ultra prefix are among the most tenacious, they have high-capacity batteries, processors with the best characteristics. Therefore, such devices demonstrate excellent results in practice. For Ultra models, two days of work at medium load is the usual result, or it could be one, but a very busy day. And S21 Ultra is just such a device, it is tenacious. For some, this is familiar, since people use flagships from year to year, someone will discover this behavior of the device and be happy. The merit of the S21 Ultra is also that it has a very powerful chipset – Exynos 2100.
Reason number 6. Fast chipset plus fast memory
When buying a device of the S21 Ultra level, you expect that it will work without problems for at least three to four years, and all this time you will not have problems with third-party applications and their speed. Actually, this is one of the reasons for buying flagships, they have a greater margin of safety, they do not become obsolete so quickly.

Software is part of the perception of the device, and what Samsung has done clearly puts the company in the lead among all Android manufacturers. For the Chinese, the software looks like a set of crutches of one kind or another, for Apple it is beautiful, but not very functional due to the inherent limitations of iOS.
Reason number 8. First Galaxy S with S Pen support
The S Pen may not be included, but you can buy it with a case or separately, as the display supports a separate layer from Wacom. This means that you can draw, create diagrams, write by hand and do many other things here. This is not just an additional stylus, but the power of software that allows you to create or relax, no company in the world has yet been able to do anything like this.
The only drawback is that there is no room for the S Pen in the case, you will have to use a case to store it with the device.

This device is a flagship, which means that it can take excellent photographs, as well as shoot video in 8K, including in professional mode, or akin to how it is done in film production. The camera block is very advanced and will satisfy both the amateur (point and shoot) and the professional. In this segment, only Huawei devices can compete with Samsung, while Apple is far behind. A different camera philosophy compared to the models of yesteryear will force you to relearn, but it will be worth it. I love the DeX mode and use it very often, for example, in a country house I often don’t get a computer, but I connect my phone to a monitor (or maybe to a TV!), Right there a wireless mouse and keyboard. The DeX interface appears on the screen, all my files are at hand, both those on the phone and those in the cloud. I understand that not everyone needs this thing, but those who have appreciated the capabilities of DeX do not see a special need for a computer – you buy peripherals, a monitor and work from your phone. Only then another trouble arises, you start to worry about what will happen if you suddenly lose your phone. But for this, clouds are needed to store the most valuable there.
