Having gone on my last trip to Word Order on the Fontanka, I unexpectedly left with the History of DJs, which tells about the evolution of the profession from record collectors to the main engines of the music scene. An excellent book that will be interesting even for those who are far from dance music. Another book I bought is The Civilization of Smells. XVI – early XIX century “, dedicated to the history of smell in Western Europe: what bizarre and dangerous drugs were used several centuries ago to induce beauty, what immodest poetry poets devoted to intimate parts of the body, how doctors tried to defeat the plague with the help of strong aromas. This is a book by the leading French cultural historian Robert Muchemblay.
There are a lot of bookstores in St. Petersburg, often there are cozy coffee shops in the neighborhood, and while it is not too cold outside, you can enjoy a book, hot coffee and a good view.
