The performer of the role of Vision, actor Paul Bettany, was interviewed as part of the Lights Camera Barstool podcast.
During the conversation, Bettany revealed how director Joss Whedon originally wanted to portray his character in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
According to him, Whedon wanted to see Vision’s penis in the very first scene with the “birth” of the hero, when he was without clothes.
Everyone, including Kevin Feige, told him that they were not sure about the idea, and he replied: “He must have a penis !!! Show me sketches of his penis. ”
Bettany emphasized that in fact, somewhere, there really were concepts with the character’s genitals, and once they were even hung on the wall:
After that, everyone entered the room and Joss said, “Okay, I was wrong, I don’t want to see this.”
Among other things, Paul Bettany answered the question of what caused the return of Vision, which is of interest to many fans of the Cinematic Universe.
He was last seen dead after the defeat of the Avengers to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
The actor stated that it was originally planned to organize the return of Vision immediately after the credits of “Avengers: Endgame”, but we did not see this scene in the end.
He claims that at some point he wanted the hero to end up in a basement with boxes for corpses, but Kevin Feige stated that he should abandon such an idea:
It was frustrating as I wanted to make money! Haha.
