Collider interviewed 78-year-old British actor Ian McShane, who played the role of Winston in the John Wick film series.
The conversation was related to the third season of American Gods, but journalist Christina Radish also asked the actor for details about the upcoming films with Keanu Reeves.
According to McShane, the script for the fourth part of “John Wick” is already being written, so it is hoped that filming will begin in 2021:
I know they want to do the fourth and fifth film at the same time, but who knows? Studios are constantly announcing something. But no doubt we will be working on John Wick 4 this year.
In addition, Ian McShane answered the question of why “John Wick” became popular. He thinks the first part had a good cast and a great script. He didn’t really appreciate the second one, but he put up with it, because people liked it:
The third part seemed amazing to me. In my opinion, it’s all about Keanu, a dead wife, a dog, a gun and a great car. The movie has it all, so how could it fail?
The fourth part of “John Wick” was supposed to appear on the big screens on the same day as the fourth “Matrix” – May 21, 2021, but it was postponed to May 27, 2022.
The reason for the postponement of several of its films was the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
