MSI has unveiled five options for the Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics accelerator: two versions of Gaming, two versions of Mech 2X and one card in a reference design from AMD. All new items received a relatively compact two-fan cooling system.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not indicate the operating frequency range of the new products. In any case, the Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming X and Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech OC variants will be able to offer factory overclocking of the GPU relative to the reference variant.

MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming

The Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming and Gaming X versions are equipped with TWIN FROZR 8 cooling systems, which include two TORX FAN 4.0 fans. The dimensions of the cards are 279 × 131 × 58 mm.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech 2X and Mech 2X OC models use simpler cooling systems with TORX FAN 3.0 fans. These versions are even more compact than the Gaming versions. The dimensions of each Mech 2X series graphics card are 247 × 131 × 51mm.

MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT Mech 2X

All new items are equipped with two 8-pin connectors for additional power. Note that the reference variant uses one 8-pin and one 6-pin connector. The manufacturer recommends using a 6700W power supply with the Radeon RX 650 XT models. Meanwhile, the set of external video interfaces for all versions of the Radeon RX 6700 XT from MSI is standard: one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4.

Like the other Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, the new Radeon RX 6700 XT is based on the 7nm RDNA 2 architecture. The Navi 22 GPU used here has 40 compute units (2560 stream processors) that are referenced at 2424 MHz (Game Clock). The auto-acceleration frequency value can reach 2581 MHz (Boost Clock). The novelty is equipped with a high-speed Infinity Cache of 96 MB and 12 GB of GDDR6 video memory. The effective frequency of video memory equipped with a 192-bit bus is 16 GHz.
