Nothing, the new tech company of OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, has unveiled the Concept 1 wireless earbuds, giving an insight into its debut earbuds, expected to be announced this summer. The concept embodies three elements that define the philosophy of its design: weightlessness, ease and timeless relevance.

The concept was developed by Tom Howard, Nothing’s head of design, who is also the associate director of design at its partner company Teenage Engineering. It should be noted that Concept 1 is not something that Nothing actually plans to release. “While the same design principles will be followed and there will be similarities to Concept 1, the final product will look different,” – said a spokesman for Nothing in an email to The Verge.

He added that the concept is also intended to reflect the company’s overall design philosophy, rather than a specific product. And Concept 1 fits well with Teenage Engineering’s aesthetic.
