So, according to the published data, the researchers analyzed the radioactive decay of the isotopes of the sample, which made it possible to find out that the asteroid may be part of another world, potentially long extinct.
At the moment, scientists have not figured out from which protoplanet the found asteroid could form. It is noted that this is the oldest igneous rock that has been identified, therefore, it is obvious that it will continue to be explored. It is assumed that the study of this asteroid will reveal something new about the history of the star system.
