Sonos introduced the Roam wireless smart speaker, the smallest and lightest in its portfolio. Its dimensions are 168 × 62 × 60 mm, weight – 430 g. The novelty will go on sale on April 20 at a price of $ 169, and you can pre-order it now.
CEO Patrick Spence called the Sonos Roam “the smartest speaker we’ve ever made.” The smart speaker supports wireless streaming via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and it also has support for Apple AirPlay 2. You can use the voice assistants Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to control the device.
The column is protected against moisture and dust according to the IP67 standard. High quality sound is provided by two digital class H amplifiers, a woofer and a tweeter. Supports Sonos Trueplay technology, which automatically adjusts the sound based on the music being played and the position for the best sound experience.
Roam speakers can be set up as a stereo pair over Wi-Fi, but this option is not available when playing music over Bluetooth. The speaker will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network when the user is at home, and then connect to your phone (also automatically) as soon as you take it with you for a walk.
The duration of the column in stand-alone mode is up to 10 hours. Charge via USB-C or wirelessly with Qi support.
