Sunwolf Entertainment announced that its 30D platformer Imp of the Sun will be released on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on June XNUMXth. At the same time, the developers released a video diary about the game’s unusual musical accompaniment.
The music in Imp of the Sun features Peruvian styles such as huayno and festeio, and also includes the sounds of ancient instruments never before used in modern compositions – some of them have a history of 6 thousand years.
According to the plot, the Sun itself created a fiery son with the help of its dying energy and sent him to return the fallen kingdoms that fell under the rule of traitors. To return light and life to the earth and its people, the hero will have to use his fiery will, mind and reflexes, moving through the dungeons filled with ruthless enemies, ruled by the former guardians of the Sun.
As Son of the Sun, players will explore vast, hand-drawn 2D environments as they navigate challenging levels and react quickly to a variety of enemies. As you progress, the hero will acquire new powers and abilities. Along the way, the player will be able to make friends with the remaining people and learn their stories, obtaining artifacts that tell the glory of the days of the reign of the Sun.
The art style and music are inspired by the culture of the Andean civilizations. The developers promise five unique and challenging bosses that can be fought in any order – each with its own complex mechanics and backstory.
