Razer has decided to actually market the face shield that it unveiled at CES 2021 earlier this year as part of Project Hazel. A special feature of the mask is its equipment with replaceable bacteria protection filters, a transparent body, as well as the presence of a voice amplifier and proprietary Chroma RGB lighting.
“We thought that this project would remain a concept and doubted its relevance when the global vaccination of the population began. And yet we decided to continue implementing it and are going to actually supply the smart mask. “Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan commented in an interview with Yahoo Finance. According to Ming-Liang Tan, people will have to wear masks for a long time.
The manufacturer revealed the concept of the Hazel mask in January this year. It is made of scratch-resistant materials and has automatic RGB backlighting that will turn on in low light conditions. Project Hazel also utilizes a built-in microphone and speaker that output and amplify the user’s voice for the convenience of the other person. The built-in filtration system cuts off at least 95% of all airborne particles. In addition, the mask has an adjustable earloop length.
The company did not disclose either the date the Hazel mask will go on sale or its estimated cost. This Razer product must be FDA certified, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and OSHA before being released.
