As promised, the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase premiered the gameplay of the action-adventure The Lord of the Rings: Gollum from Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon.
However, you cannot call a comprehensive presentation – the unveiled video lasts a little less than 50 seconds, of which even less is devoted to the direct gameplay.
The timing of the trailer allowed the developers to show a cut of gameplay and story scenes, during which Gollum sneaks, climbs and simply moves around the orc fortress and the caves adjacent to it.
The developers claim that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will “exciting plot”, in which players will be offered to look at the events of The Lord of the Rings from the point of view of Gollum.
Daedalic Entertainment calls Gollum one of the most interesting characters in the fantasy universe: “He is cunning and skillful, but he is torn apart by contradictions. One consciousness, two personalities – the choice is yours “.
For all his merits, Gollum is not a fighter, so enemies will have to be killed on the sly. Stealthy gameplay is also facilitated by one of the main skills of the character – to literally feel the sounds in the dark.
Following the recent postponement, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is expected to be released no earlier than Q2022 4 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation XNUMX, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
