As the newspaper writes, first the attacker asks the client to transfer him an “advance”. Then he says that the amount came in large, and tries to return the change. To return the change, the fraudster sends the client a link to go to a site similar to the official one. There the user needs to enter the card details and the secret code. The victims are naturally deprived of their money.
On its website, BlaBlaCar warns that rides with fellow drivers are paid for in cash and only during the trip. You cannot transfer money in advance or ask for prepayment. You can only buy bus tickets online. BlaBlaCar shows sample pages where you can buy tickets.
