Russians began to lose interest in buying smartphones in 2021

According to Svyaznoy, sales of smartphones decreased by 11% in physical terms. In total, in the first quarter of 2021, about 6,8 million gadgets were sold for 156,3 billion rubles.

Curiously, although the indicators decreased in real terms, the growth in revenue relative to the first quarter of 2020 amounted to 22%. The average purchase price of a smartphone is 23 rubles.

It should be borne in mind that in 2020, Russians bought a record number of smartphones. In total, 31,5 million units were sold for 570 billion rubles.
