At the recent Future Games Show, developers from Anshar Studios showed a new trailer for their isometric RPG Gamedec. The video does not contain gameplay footage, but it announced the release date of the project – September 16, 2021 on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store).
In Gamedec, users are reincarnated as a gamedek – a detective in the cyberpunk future who investigates crimes in video games. The latter are just shown in a fresh trailer. When passing Gamedec, users will be able to immerse themselves in the virtual worlds of Happy Hunting Grounds, Harvest Time, Twisted and Perverted, and Knight’s Code. The first resembles a post-apocalyptic forest, the second is made in the surroundings of the Wild West, the third has a hacker theme, and the last refers to medieval Japan.
The voiceover reveals that at Gamedec, people break the rules in video games in every possible way. They use cheats and vulnerabilities to gain an advantage. Users will investigate their dishonest behavior, but the cases will not be limited to this – sometimes game decks will have to find out the circumstances of people’s deaths and save children from forced labor.
