On the official website of the European rating organization PEGI (Pan European Game Information), there is a mention of the console versions of the tactical strategy XCOM: Chimera Squad.
Recall that XCOM: Chimera Squad is considered a PC-exclusive: since the announcement of a possible release of the game on other platforms, neither the developers from the Firaxis Games studio nor the publisher 2K have even stuttered.
Judging by the information on the PEGI website, XCOM: Chimera Squad will reach the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in the near future. All three versions received an age rating of “over 16”.
The delayed release for the series is nothing new (XCOM 2 appeared on consoles with an almost eight-month delay), but console fans have not had to wait so long in the newest history of the franchise.
However, such “predictions” of PEGI do not always come true: the editions of Tales from the Borderlands for PS5, Xbox Series X and S received the European age rating at the end of 2020, but have not yet been confirmed.
XCOM: Chimera Squad takes place five years after the finale of XCOM 2: Humanity has reclaimed freedom, and it is necessary to work together to counter a new hidden threat to humans and aliens.
XCOM: Chimera Squad debuted in April 2020 on PC (Steam). Journalists received the project relatively warmly (however, it is far from the indicators of the main games of the series) – the average rating on Metacritic is 77 out of 100%.
