So far, the scientists have published an article on the bioRxiv preprint portal. That is, it has not yet been reviewed. TASS writes briefly about the work.
The authors of the article said that after two doses of the vaccine, the body of the cats began to produce antibodies. In addition, a large number of antibodies remained in the blood of the animals throughout the experiment.
It is reported that the vaccine was first tested on guinea pigs, then passed on to experiments on cats. The drug is said to have caused no visible negative side effects in animals. The vaccine also stopped the coronavirus from spreading between cats.
A drug must go through additional stages of testing before it can be used.
