Games Industry has shared information on sales of retail editions of games in the UK from 28 March to 3 April 2021. The week was marked by several debuts and a return to the leaders of the proven hit.
The RPG action Monster Hunter Rise, which topped the rating in the previous time, could not withstand the onslaught of competitors, showing a result that was 74% worse than the previous one and letting three rivals with FIFA 21 ahead of it.
Electronic Arts was helped back to the top of the football simulator by an 81 percent increase in sales. They were followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons (+ 11%) and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (+ 16%).
Outriders, released last Thursday, debuted in sixth place, with 52% of copies sold on PS5, another 31% on PS4, and the remaining 17% on Xbox consoles.
Games Industry notes that the chart does not reflect the whole picture, because Outriders is included in the Xbox Game Pass console subscription, and the rating is compiled based on retail data.
The action-platformer Balan Wonderworld shows itself in no way at all. The game debuted on March 26, but so far it has never (there were two opportunities) made it even to the top 40.
The top 28 UK retail charts from March 3 to April XNUMX are as follows (last week’s result is shown in parentheses):
- FIFA 21 (8);
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons (3);
- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (4);

- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (7);
