Initially, Zemskov filed claims with Samsung Electronics Rus Company LLC, Apple Rus LLC and Huawei Tech Company LLC in August 2020. Now the consideration of the claim has been resumed.

The engineer claims to be the author and copyright holder of the invention “Method and system for determining the location of an object on the territory.” This technology allows you to determine the location of a gadget based on data on its electromagnetic radiation.

The plaintiff believes that Apple, Samsung and Huawei are using his invention. The companies violated the exclusive rights of Zemskov when they started selling smartphones with this function in Russia. These are, in particular, the iPhone XR, Samsung Galaxy A50 and Honor 7A.

Apple, Samsung and Huawei did not comment on the situation. Zemskov demands from companies to pay him 30 thousand rubles. But the amount of claims may increase.
