The retail version of Resident Evil Village fell into the hands of Australian players two weeks before the official release

A Twitter user under the pseudonym Kaiser499 posted a photo of a man holding an unpacked retail copy of Resident Evil Village for PS5 – it looks like the anticipated horror has fallen into the hands of some players ahead of time.

As with the Resident Evil 3 remake, the leak occurred about two weeks before release. Apparently, this time Australia has distinguished itself – the badge of a local rating agency is visible on the cover.

According to Kaiser499, the disc contains the release version of Resident Evil Village (1.0) without the first day update, which cannot be downloaded at the moment. The patch is likely to be available closer to the premiere.

Kaiser499 claims that the 1.0 build size is 27,37 GB – exactly the same value was reported by the author of the PlayStation Game Size microblog in the first half of March, which monitors the addition of games and patches to the PS Store database.

It is worth noting that the new Resident Evil Village leak is far from the first in the history of the game. In mid-December 2020, due to the November hacker attack on Capcom, critical information about the plot was leaked to the Network.

Due to the premature falling of the Resident Evil Village into the hands of some players, it will also be useful to remind you to travel with caution on social networks – they are likely to be filled with spoilers in the near future.

The release of Resident Evil Village is expected on May 7 this year on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as in Google Stadia. Five days before the game’s premiere, on May 2, a multi-platform demo will be released.
