Huawei reportedly intends to launch two satellites in partnership with two other Chinese companies as early as July. The goal of the project is to test the 6G network technologies developed by Huawei.
With the launch of satellites, the company has taken a leading role in the global research and development of 6G technology.
The sixth generation networks are expected to be 50 times faster than the fifth generation networks. The difference between the new technology and the existing one is that 5G relies on base stations for signal transmission, while 6G relies on satellites.
Earlier, a Huawei spokesman said the company will launch its sixth-generation network in 2030.
