Turn Potentially Unwanted Application Protection on or off in Microsoft Edge
1. Open Microsoft Edge Chromium browser.
2. In the address bar, insert Edge: // settings / privacy and press Enter. Or go to the browser menu (by clicking on the three dots in the upper right) => “Options” => “Privacy and Services”.
3. Next to Blocking Potentially Unwanted Applications, tap the toggle to turn it to On. (or “Off” if you want to disable). Close the settings tab.
Add or remove the option to turn on anti-unwanted app protection in Microsoft Edge
1. Open Microsoft Edge Chromium browser.
2. In the address bar, insert edge: // flags / # edge-smartscreen-pua and press Enter.
3. To remove the “Blocking potentially unwanted app protection” setting from the browser options, opposite “Potentially unwanted app protection” select Disabled and click on “Restart”.
If, on the contrary, you want to add the “Blocking potentially unwanted app protection” setting to the browser settings, opposite “Potentially unwanted app protection” select Enabled or Default and click on “Restart”.
