Windows 10 can report problems with a connected USB device. Today we are going to take a look at how to turn off USB problem notifications in Windows 10.
Disable USB problem notifications in system settings
1. Open the Start menu and go to Settings.
2. Go to “Devices” => “USB” => next to “Notify if there are problems with connecting to USB devices” uncheck the box (by clicking on it with the left mouse button).
Disable USB problem notifications in Registry Editor
1. In the search bar or in the Run menu (Win + R) enter regedit and press Enter.
2. Follow the path HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftShellUSB. In the USB section, open the option NotifyOnUsbErrors => in the “Value” field enter 0 and click “OK” to turn off USB problem notifications. If you need to enable, change the value to 1 and click “OK”.
That’s all for today, if you know other ways – write in the comments! Good luck ?
