Previously, we looked at how to configure the computer to automatically shutdown when not in use. Today we will look at how to configure the automatic shutdown of the computer after the download is complete in the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser.
1. Open the browser you want to customize.
2. Click on Firefox if you are configuring the Mozilla Firefox browser, or on Chrome if you are configuring Google Chrome (you can also use the Chrome extension in the Microsoft Edge Chromium browser). Click on “Install”.
3. Click on “Install extension”.
4. Click on the icon of the installed extension with the right mouse button, select “Options”.
5… In the “Delay before command execution (in seconds)” field, enter how many seconds after downloading the file to count until the computer is shut down. While the countdown is running, you have the option to cancel the shutdown.
6. Opposite “Command” select the action to be performed after the file download is complete.
Shutdown – completion of work.
Restart – computer restart.
Logout – Sign Out.
Hibernate – hibernation.
7… Near “Test native integration” Press Open
8. Click on here (see picture) to load the necessary file for the extension to work correctly.
9. Unpack the files from the downloaded archive to a place where they will not interfere and no one will delete them.
10. Run the file install.bat, when the commands are finished, press any key.
11. Now, enable the extension (by clicking on the icon so it turns red).
After the next download of the file, a window will appear with a countdown until the shutdown of the computer. You can cancel the shutdown by closing the window.
That’s all for today, if you know other ways – write in the comments! Good luck ?
