1.Open “Power Supply”: one of the ways – in the search bar or in the “Run” menu (Win + R) enter the command powercfg.cpl and press the Enter key.
2.Next to the selected power plan, click on “Set up power plan”.
5. Click on “Change advanced power settings”.
6. Click on “Hard disk” => ”Disconnect hard disk after” => select after how long of inactivity to disconnect the hard disk and click on “OK”.

1. Open a command prompt.
2. Type the command and replace the idle time in seconds with the desired one, then press Enter.
