Watch: How Jacinda Ardern’s popularity bubble burst

Covid might have masked the shortcomings of Jacinda Ardern’s government “which are starting to come to light” according to Gordon Rayner, The Telegraph’s Associate Editor.

But four years later Ms Ardern has found herself under fire from some quarters, with her zero-Covid strategy having led to a poor vaccination rate and having hit economic recovery.

“A flagship scheme to provide affordable housing has faltered and the goals she set on child poverty and inequality have not been met,” added Gordon Rayner.
