On Tuesday, Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that they had found a body in the search for the missing teenager. Whilst formal identification has yet to be carried out, Miss McLeod’s family have been informed and are being supported by investigators.
The body was found during searches close to the beach in Bovisand, around 10 miles from Miss McLeod’s family home.
Two men, aged 24 and 26 from Plymouth, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
Lee McLeod, 20, paid tribute to his sister following the discovery, sharing a photo of the two of them together as children.
“Until we meet again sis. I love you,” he wrote. “You didn’t deserve this. Such a beautiful and talented girl and to have you as my little sister.
“The adventure and journey we had been on will always be treasured. Now go rest easy.”
