Hello and a very happy New Year to you all. I’m now entering my second year as the host of Mastermind and I can’t wait to meet the new crop of contenders for 2022. But quizzing isn’t just about big competitions and grand prizes.
While Covid restrictions have been tough on everyone, many people have been able to get together online, and often it’s the format of the quiz that’s united families and friends. It is, of course, a little test of knowledge and a bit of a learning experience, but it’s also a slice of fun and can be a laugh! What’s not to like? So, in that vein, I’ve compiled a little quiz for you all to enjoy at home, which looks back at the past 12 months – in politics, theatre, television, sport, literature, music and the arts.
