A gangster suspected of gunning down a rival in a drive-by shooting, a drug dealer with gold teeth and a member of an organised crime group accused of trafficking £8million worth of cocaine into the UK are among a dirty dozen of Britain’s most wanted criminals being sought by police in Spain.
A new appeal by the National Crime Agency (NCA) has been launched to bring some of the most dangerous British fugitives to justice.
The offenders, all men, are wanted for crimes ranging from murder to gun running and drugs importation.
The annual NCA Most Wanted campaign is run in conjunction with independent charity CrimeStoppers and Spanish law enforcement and has led to the arrest of 86 suspects in the past.
All the men featured in the campaign are believed to have links to mainland Spain and the Canary Islands.
Steve Rodhouse, the NCA’s director general of operations, said: “Fugitives usually continue offending while on the run and these men will be known in criminal circles wherever they are.
“Many of these fugitives will be trying to blend in to the large British communities who have made their homes in Spain, and if you are a resident, you may know one of them from your town or village.
“Loyalties change over time and we urge anyone with information about these men to help us find them.”
