Can someone come to collect Justin Bieber please? He’s had too much sugar and run amok in his dad’s suit, nabbed his big sister’s beanie and it’s just getting silly now. He’s got hold of the felt pens and drawn on himself again too…oh wait, those are his tattoos. The singer has raised eyebrows (the ones that could still move, the West Coast of America being cosmetic surgery’s cradle of civilization) at the theatrics during his latest outing, on which he appeared on the red carpet alongside his wife Hailey at the Grammy Awards in Las Vegas. 

After rather awkwardly jiggling around in front of the cameras, like a Tory politician at a photocall, he and his wife settle into a series of stony-faced poses of a solemnity befitting of NATO peace talk negotiators rather than a pop star attending a champagne-fuelled bash in Sin City.

But that’s not the strangest part. That particular accolade must go to the 28-year-old’s swampingly oversized Balenciaga suit, with trousers spooling around his ankles and sleeves dangling to mid-thigh. It calls to mind a toddler playing dress-up, or perhaps an errant youth going for his first job interview in his father’s hand-me-down. Social media promptly erupted (which perhaps is the whole point), and likened it to Tom Hanks as the overgrown child in Big and David Byrne of Talking Heads comedy styling.
