Ukrposhta issued a stamp dedicated to the phrase “Russian warship, go …”, which became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance to Russian aggression.
The illustration was made by artist Borys Grokh, an immigrant from the Crimea.
The brand immediately caused a stir, especially after the same day after the release of the same flagship of the Russian fleet “Moscow” went to the bottom.
For a week now, thousands of people have been queuing up to buy a copy to remember. The circulation of the stamp was 1 million copies, it will not be reprinted.
BBC News Ukraine correspondent Roman Lebed was at the main post office in Kyiv, saying he had never seen such a queue.
