Ten companies in the European Union have opened ruble accounts with Gazprombank.
At the same time, four of them have already made payments in rubles , as previously demanded in the Kremlin.
This is reported by Bloomberg , citing its own sources close to the Russian “Gazprom”.
It is noted that four European countries that buy gas from Russia have already paid for deliveries in rubles.
At the same time, it has recently become known that Gazprom has completely suspended gas supplies to Bulgarian and Polish operators due to non-payment in rubles.
At the same time, a Bloomberg source close to Gazprom said that at least until the second half of May, the Kremlin will not turn off other countries that refuse Putin’s conditions. At this time, the following payments must be made, on which the future of gas supplies to Europe will actually depend.
It should be noted that at present Russia supplies gas through pipelines to 23 European countries.
Recall that the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen responded to the statement of the Russian “Gazprom” to stop gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria. According to her, in this way Russia is once again trying to blackmail Europe with gas.
